Yazgan family is one of the oldest wine producers in Turkey. It has been four generations since this family carries its wine production in Izmir which is located in the Aegean region of Turkey.

The company was founded by Mr. Hüseyin Yazgan in 1943. Born in Greece, near Thessaloniki, he moved back to Izmir during the Great Exchange earlier in the past century and brought all his knowledge about vineyards and wine making along with him. Today Yazgan family, continues the business with the help of modern technology but also making use of the traditional way of wine production. Newly Mr. Antoine Bastide d’Izard has joined the company as the Wine Maker, who has 15 years of experience in production.

With a yearly production of 6 million liters, Yazgan is among the largest producers in Turkey. To produce such a volume, Yazgan has established strong partnerships with various grape suppliers all around the country and purchase the best quality grapes from every region such as : Öküzgözü from Elazığ, Boğazkere from Diyarbakır, Narince from Tokat, and Emir from Nevşehir. These are the autochthone grapes of Turkey which make the Turkish wines so delicious and unique. These grapes have preserved their specifications over centuries.

In order to complete his range, Yazgan has also his own vineyard planted in Turgutlu, 40 km in the east part of Izmir. Facing the hills around them, the vineyards of Yazgan, are planted with some of the most prestigious grapes : Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Cultivated with French practices adapted to its specific “terroir”, the grapes give over there our premium wine. Today, Yazgan offers a full range of wine which will satisfy the expectations of wine lovers.
